Soap Hope's mission was too great to pass up:
'Helping Women Everywhere. We believe that every woman in the world who wants an opportunity to support herself and her family should have that opportunity. That's why we created the GOOD RETURNS business model on which Soap Hope was founded. It's simple: every dollar of profit earned by a Good Returns company goes first to an institution that uses it to solve world problems. After those profits have spent a year in service, the money is returned to Soap Hope. It's like the Peace Corps for money: we volunteer every dollar for a year of service.'
You can read more about their mission here.
Love this concept!
They sent me a good amount of samples to review and I'll start with my favorite out of all of the samples:
Dark Chocolate And Mint Lip Balm by Acure Organics$3.99 for 0.15 oz.
Soap Hope states:'This silky, smooth USDA Certified Organic Lip Balm provides outstanding protection for dry and cracked lips.Benefits:USDA Organic
Protects lips against the elements
Food grade ingredients
Great for all skin types
Paraben free, Vegan, Gluten free, Synthetic fragrance free
Silicone free, Phthalate free'
I have been looking for a great organic lip balm and I think this is the one! I love mint lip balms and add dark chocolate to it, I'm sold. This is very moisturizing and melts into my lips quickly and feels great!
Next up are the 2 Zum bar soaps in citrus mint and oatmeal lavendar:
$3.99 for 3 oz.
Oatmeal lavendar: Oatmeal is one of natures purest cleansers - this bar combines it with lavender for a bar that is both soothing and exfoliating.
Indigo Wild is famous for its Zum Bar, a goat's milk based soap. Indigo Wild chooses goat's milk because it is naturally homogenized and has naturally occurring triglycerides (good fats). This results in the soap's pH being nearly identical to our own skin and therefore less harsh than most commercial soaps.
Ingredients: Saponified 100% Food Grade Olive, Coconut, Palm & Castor Oils, In A Goat's Milk Base, With Herbs, Pure Essential Oils And Natural Colorings.
Citrus mint is a great 'wake-up' soap meaning it is a great morning soap to really wake you up. Oatmeal lavendar is a nice 'bedtime' soap that calmed me and got me in bedtime mode. It was a bit exfoliating but not as much as mustang grape.
Both of these soaps made my skin feel squeaky clean and ready for lotion.Mustang Grape Organic Soap Bar
by A Wild Soap Bar
This beautifully swirled Mustang Grape Soap is enriched with antioxidant grape skins and scented with a sweet, fruity essential oil blend - it's A Wild Soap Bar's best seller.
Ingredients:Premium Saponified Vegetable Oils (Organic Extra Virgin Olive, Organic Coconut, Organic Palm, Organic Sunflower, Organic Castor), Distilled Water, Organic Oat Flour, Essential Oils (Palmarosa, Orange, Olibanum, Lemongrass, Benzoin, Rose Geranium, Cassia), Sea Salt, Grape Skins, Cosmetic Grade Earth Pigments
This smelled a bit manly to me but I liked it! I could see and feel the grape skins and sea salt. It did disintegrate a bit faster than the other soaps but still left my skin feeling squeaky clean!
Free and Clear (32 oz) Laundry Soapby Biokleen
$6.99 for 32oz or $11.99 for 64ozClean, fresh clothes are all this natural laundry liquid leaves behind. This all-natural, scent-free laundry soap is perfect for those with sensitive skin.
Ingredients: Surfactants & conditioners from coconut and/or corn, grapefruit seed and pulp extract (has no scent), linear sulfonate, filtered water.I loved the fact that this could be used in an hp washer! I only needed half of what they sent me per load. My fiance and one of my dogs has sensitive skin. I used half of this on his shirts and the other half on her dog bed. He hasn't complained and she usually has to bite the bed after it's washed and this time she just curled up in it without biting or sniffing it too much. A winner! It smelled nice too. But not overpowering like a lot of commercial detergents.
mahya bronzer & shimmer (small .09oz: $13.99 large .30 oz: $23.99) and mineral foundation (.30 oz $23.99)
mahya bronzer & shimmer in Heavenly, mineral foundation in honey 1 swipe and blended
Ingredients: Mica, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea Extract), Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C). Depending on shade may contain: Sericite, Kaolin, Ultramarines, Ferric Ferrocyanide, Zea Mays (Corn Starch).
Foundation: Minneral foundations from Mahya Cosmetics provide complete and easy coverage with an incredibly soft look and feel. The mineral pigments allow skin to breath and because no oils or perfumes are used in the formulation, pores won’t clog and skin won’t become irritated. Skin remains hydrated and supple with a natural vibrant appearance.

The bronzer had a nice shimmer to it, but as you can see, it's pretty dark. The foundation didn't match my skin, but it had a nice texture to it and covered well.
I mentioned to the person that sent me the samples that these were a bit dark for my coloring and she said 'Because we are an online store, Soap Hope has a Color Guarantee allowing our costumers to return any color that isn't exactly what they want and we will exchange it for free!' This is really fantastic because sometimes it is hard to find the right color when buying online.
Chamomile And Carrot Facial Cream
$17.49 for 1 oz
Benefits:
- Provides all day, easily absorbed protection
- Feeds and restores cells
- Protects against free radical damage
- For normal to dry skin
- Paraben free, Vegan, Gluten free, Synthetic fragrance free, Silicone free, Phthalate free

I used this before I put on my lotion with sunscreen. It did feel nice going on and did not irritate my skin. It was hard to judge if this did all that it promised because I put the lotion with sunscreen on afterwards. I really like having a lotion with sunscreen in it to save me an additional step in the morning, but with organic, that's impossible.
The last couple items I haven't used yet. When I do I will post about them as well.
I really like Soap Hope's mission and packaging and it is really a one-stop shop for organic items!
Thanks for reading!
