Bottle Comparison

 A while back, but not as far back as when the Milani Halloween collection came out, I took another look at Illamasqua Phallic. I though it looked pretty similar to one of the polishes from the Milani Halloween collection.

As you can see the Milani is more blurple than Phallic. I don't know which color the Milani is, sorry.

Revlon Typhoon and a Comparison

This is what looks to be my favorite of the ones from my mom's closet.

Revlon Typhoon

I really really really really (and a ton more) liked how this one turned out. It was a dream to apply (even being 10+ years old) and it dried at a normal speed.

I thought I would try it matte too. I really don't like matte, but some colors I think might have to be matted just to try out.

I used ChG Matte Magic. I thought this turned out very well and is pretty!

I also thought Typhoon looked similar to another polish that I have in my collection, NYX Girl Morrocco. So it's comparison time!

Even though I noticed during comparing the bottles, Morrocco isn't as purple as Typhoon, I still continued with the comparison.

Pointer=Morrocco
Middle=Typhoon

Both are worth owning!

Thanks for looking!

Comparisons of Dark Blurple

I was really in the mood for some dark blurply colors. So I went into my stash and pulled out these three:
Massini Electronica, Misa Fatal Affair, and SH Insta-Dri Violet VOOM!
In darker lighting (since I do my nails at night) they all looked kinda similar, but in this light you can see they are not.

Never the less I still did the comparison anyway since these are all in my 'untried' category.

top to bottom: Fatal Affair, Electronica, and Violet VOOM!

And you can pretty much see that they aren't really alike at all! Not too sure what I was thinking!

Misa Fatal Affair

Massini Electronica

SH Insta-Dri Violet VOOM!
I wore Electronica for my NOTD.

NOTD: Blink and Hologlow eyeshadows all by Spell Cosmetics

Spell Cosmetics is a 'new-to-me' line of cosmetics with a lot of great colors for eyes, faces, lips, and of course...nails!

This gem I got from for $5.99. It was a Last Chance item the other day and now it's gone... :(

At first glance I thought this was a blurple, but it was definitely a deep blue (see pics below).This is pre-cleanup and I did 2 coats, it was pretty opaque in 1 but I did 2 for good measure. I also found out about their Hologlow eyeshadows from Decorative Diva. They were so pretty I had to get them. Check 'em out:

(l-r)(t-b): Halo, Absinthe, Moonlit, Embers, Blacklight

I really thought that I might be able to try these as a first franken np's for me. But after I saw how light theses really were, not too sure I would want to waste them if they turned out super sheer as np's. I really don't like the sheer ones. I don't know. Any ideas?

They are available here. Individually they are $9.00 each. If you buy all 5 of them you get one free for a total of $36. Plus if you join they're site you get $5.oo gift certificate! Another plus: I believe shipping in the US is free! They just rearranged their site and when I got all of these I had to pay $.10- still a deal!!
