bigRuby Nail Tattoos

I was sent some bigRuby nail tattoos a while back and I was naughty and lost them. But I found them again and I used them to do a 'summery' mani.

I used an old SH Opal for the base and Orly Cherry Bomb topped with Zoya Tanzy for the tips.

Then I added a bigRuby orange star for an accent as well as...

a cute little whale! IDk I thought it was summery!

These were super easy to use and look wonderful! My kinda nail art!

Thanks for looking!

*these items were sent to me in exchange for an honest review

Revlon Scented Orange Pop

Love it! I ran out and bought most of these the other day. The scent doesn't seem to last as long as the ones from last year, but that's OK.

This is three coats w/o topcoat. I thought I'd try it w/o it since a lot of girls have been with great results. This is about a day and a half after application. Not too shabby. Just had to wait a long time for it to dry.

Have you bought any of these yet? What do you think?

I will be having something special for all of you soon, see HERE for some details.

Halloween Nails

I know it's a little late (wasn't feeling too hot), but I wanted to share this Halloween mani with you since I didn't enter any Halloween contests. I really like how this turned out!

I used ChG Spellbound for the tips, Claire's Orange U Glad 2 C Me? for the orange, and I used some loose sparkles (I got like 12 colors for $1.99 on clearance at Micheal's!). For the sparkles I drew a stripe of clear polish along the smile line and 'dusted' some sparkles on with a brush. I used this tutorial and this video:

I drew 'webs' on my ring fingers with a thin painter's brush and I used Lippmann Fade to Black. Then put in little stripes of sparkles too. Enjoy!

This was a collar I found for Bella the day of Halloween at JoAnn Fabrics for like $3.99! It was for a medium-sized dog (which she is not), but she can't have any toys (because she destroys all of them) so I spoil her with collars :) The star *did* light up, but the battery fell out of it.

Thanks for looking!
Hope you all had a nice Halloween!

Friday Night Girls-Night-In Mani & Pedi

So last night my best friend, Emily, and I had a Friday night Girls-Night-In and had a mani/pedi-a-thon with the new Zoyas I got. While we were doing this we had Heathers playing in the background.

Has anyone seen this movie? We rented it because it is a 'cult classic' comedy and we thought it would be good for a laugh. I don't think this should have been in the comedy section at all. It was rather dark.

Anyway, onto the polish!

First up is Pru. A warm pink with gold shimmer. Very beautiful. Below is 2 coats. These pics were taken on the fourth day!

see all that shimmeriness?

artifical light
this one is the best to how it looks IRL

I read somewhere recently that 2 basecoats is better than one, so I am going to start doing that from now on. I used Zoya's a coat each of: ridge filler, anchor, the polish (2 coats), armor, and hurry up drops. This mani lasted to 5 days without looking horrible!

Em liked Pru so much on my nails, she wanted them on hers! So here's her pics. Mind you, they were taken at like midnight last night so the lighting isn't spectacular. (these are all precleanup pics)

blurred to show the shimmeriness!

WARNING TOES!!!
I feel that I have to do that now, just in case some are squimish about toes.

Here's Em toes with 2 coats of Salma. A lovely color!

Here's my mani. Lovely, bright Sienna. This is 3 coats and you can still see the VNL. I think next time I wear this I will do a first coat of a cream orange and top it with this. I think this is a great Halloween color!

Do you like Pru or Sienna? I know Salma has been on a lot of blogs lately b/c it is one of Zoya's newest colors.
How was your Friday night?

NOTD: Orly Cherry Bomb aka Sunkissed, Taillight (Flowers in a Trellis)

So at Sally's Beauty Supply they were having buy 2 Orly treatments and get a polish for free. So I bought Sec 'n Dry and Magnifique.

Sec 'n Dry penetrates and dries all layers of nail polish quickly. I think it was dry within 2 minutes and touchable dry in about 8 more minutes.
Magnifique contains optical brighteners and UV protection for a quick-drying, luminous French with a durable finish. I thought maybe this would illuminate regular nail polish too. I think it did.

For my free nail polish I wanted a nice orangey, summery polish. So I bought Cherry Bomb. I think they were a little off on the name. I would have thought that it should be called something more like Sunkissed or Taillight. Because of it's orangey glow and gold shimmer.

I love this color! I especially like it because this is one coat!

I decided I wanted to do a Koni since I haven't done one in forever. I need to get back to doing them more because it's not looking too hot.

I used the fence looking image on the bottom left. And ChG Solar Power for the stamp. Then I used my dotting tool and created flowers with a black Rhinestone in the middle on my ring fingers and thumbs. I call it Flowers in a Trellis.

NOTD Victoria's Secret Cocktail

I wanted to show you this before I removed it. This is the first time I have used Victoria's Secret Nail Lacquer and I won't ever use it again. First let's check out the crap-tacular bottle.

Very small bottle, but amazing color.

The cap pops off for an even worse applicator.

(indoor light)

As you can see the color is amazing, but the polish started peeling off on my pointer finger. And I han't even taken a shower yet! (2 coats and you can still see the VNL)

Here's what it did to my middle finger. It all came off in one sheet!

Have you tried VS nail lacquer? My advice don't bother.

Pretty color, though. Pitty. Maybe I can layer it?
