Results of the Poll and a Wedding Mani

OK so I am finally getting to the Wedding Outfit that has to do with that poll that has been up forever. But first let's go with the mani I chose.

The bride's favorite color is purple and she loves hearts so I decided on this:

Let's see if I remember all of this... 3 coats of Nubar Twilight Kiss, not sure what Konad plate, but stamped with Konad sp in Royal Purple. Then I used Nfu-Oh #52 on the left side of the hearts and Gosh Rainbow of the right side of the hearts, topped it all off with Out the Door in silver holo.
I loved this mani so much. It lasted about 3 days then started peeling off, too many coats?

Here's my hair and makeup:

I curled my hair with a 1in iron then pinned up all the curls so they would cool and hopefully may hair would stay curled for at least an hour. (my hair doesn't curl worth sh*t!)

When I took it down after an hour, the curls looked like this:

This was a bit too curly around my face so I pinned it back

with this cute clip

I ended up going with Option 2:

(click the pic for the original post)

the one that everyone chose. With black pants and shoes. Of course I didn't take any pics of the completed me b/c I had to get the bf going so we wouldn't be late. Thankfully we weren't!
Thanks for all your help with this, Ladies!

Silver Holo Comparisons

I decided to do some comparisons of the silver holos I own since I recently picked up Gosh Holographic. The other ones I own are Nfu-Oh #60? (I think) and SH Nail Prisms Diamond.

The Nfu-Oh and Gosh ones are really close and look spectacular without a topcoat. Diamond is kinda old and doesn't dry very well. I think the age of the polish is why it came out more grey than silver. I'm not sure how old it is since I got it off of eBay.

Anyway onto the comparisons!

All without t/c unless noted.

Gosh Holographic

Gosh Holographic next to Nfu-Oh #60?

Gosh Holographic, Nfu-Oh #60?, SH NP Diamond

Gosh Holographic 4 coats with t/c

So you can see the holo

After one day of wear :(
Holos do really suck at staying put on your nails. It might have been the four coats too.
On to the comparisons...
One Coat
top-bottom: Gosh Holo, Nfu-Oh #60?, SH NP Diamond
two coats

three coats
4 coats!

As you can see, Gosh and Nfu-Oh start out real streaky but begin to come to a full application. They are really close and holo-y. I would go as far to say they are dupes *maybe?*
Diamond- not so much

All the same as above
pinky- Gosh holo has the t/c and it does lose it's luster
SH NP Diamond- 4 coats w/tc

please excuse that bump on my middle finger, my nails are in bad shape (peeling) and the holo picks it up

same as above, in full sun

Thanks for looking!

NOTD: Ultraviolet Nfu-Oh

You may remember my post about Color Club Ultraviolet a while back. Well I have just been too lazy to post these pics, but now here they are!

I was admiring UV a couple days before I removed it and I was thinking, 'You look like something familiar.' So I dug through my stash and found my Nfu-Ohs. (Don't remember what the number is- will post later) But check this out:

So similiar!

Here is UV topped with the Nfu-Oh outside shade.

full sun

BEAUTIFUL, right?

I get by with a little help from my friend(s)-Brooke!

Sing along with me, Ladies!

What would you think if I sang out of tune,

Would you stand up and walk out on me ?

Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song

And I'll try not to sing out of key.

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends

Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends

Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends

I love this movie! If you haven't seen it yet- you NEED to! I love the Beatles and this movie just makes the music sooo much better!

Brooke, you really helped me out!

But first...
Let's start with the mani that I did last week: Finger Paints Artist's Sapphire. Mary @ Body and Soul did a post on this np brand and I agree with her, I love it!
This is 2 coats with Nailtek II basecoat and Seche topcoat. It went on smoooooooth! All pics are artificial light.

Here it is with Nfu-Oh #65 and Konad plate m36. From reading Brooke's post I really learned a lot. I learned to not SCRAPE too hard. This was something that I always did. All you need is a light scrape. I also learned to work quickly, especially when using the holo Nfu-Oh's. This helped prevent my polish applying stringy. I only got 2 that were a little stringy on the ends, which is a great improvement. I also learned that I need to buy some Konad special polishes! I might be able to get away with it for a little while longer :)

These pics are taken pre-cleanup. I had to apply another coat of Artist's Sapphire b/c it was chipping (I had worn it for about 5 days).

What do y'all think? Does it look better?
