Dupe Alert?: Claire's Venomous and Evil Queen Preview

First off: HI to all the new followers!! *waves*

Yesterday we went to Red Robin for my birthday and it's in the maill so I had to stop into Claire's. Since it was my birthday, my fiance actually let me do this. Normally he won't even let me go near it. Keep in mind, Claire's is right next to the theater and Red Robin. These are the 2 things we go to the mall for.

Anyways the cosmetics were BOGO 1/2 off so I picked up these two beauties.

Evil Queen looks like a dupe for Orly Galaxy Girl and Venomous looks like a dupe for Orly Space Cadet. Just speculation.  It seems like every brand is going to have dupes for these guys!

Claire's Mood Nail Polish: Daring/Innocent Layered

Here's another from Claire's Mood polishes, Daring/Innocent. The 'Layered' part of the post comes later and it's good. So if you don't want to see any more swatches of this 'boring' color combo scroll on down.

I love this grey color. I am so into greys right now for some reason...

Then when the hands get a bit warmer, this loveliness shows up...

Then I was thinking 'I wonder what this would look like if I layered a slightly sheer polish over it.' So I took out my one MAC polish Varicose Violet and added one coat to these 2 coats of Daring/Innocent. And here is the beauty that was created...

Then I managed to get my hands on the new Essence stampy set at my local Ulta and used ChG Awaken (?) for one of those stamps...

OOOOOoooooo. I think next time I wear this I will add a sheer blue... What other colors would you layer over this?

Claire's Mood Polishes: Calm/Wild

I think I have found my #1 np!!! This one is a stunner and if you don't have it yet go out and buy it. NOW! Or you could win it here or here.

This dries like OPI suede polishes so a topcoat is needed to shine it up! But I think it has the best of both worlds---pink (which I am not too crazy about, but it's a nice 'office' color) and PURPLE!! The in-between color is fantastic!

I didn't post the full on pink color since it's nothing to write home about. I have been playing with the hot and cold water handles on my faucet all day and checking my tips to see what color they are like every half an hour!
The only thing is the formula. I think I need to thin it a bit...
I did try a water marble mani with these and since they are so thick it came out horribly lumpy. But it was fun to see the colors change before I took it off.
I'm hoping that Colette picked up these polishes and will try a marble mani when she gets a chance :)

Some Recent NOTDs

I have been a bit behind on my posting my NOTDs. So here's two of them, there have been more including a gradient, but it was a major fail. I have taken some advice from Lisa from Nail Art World on gradients and I am getting a butt-load of Zoyas coming, which she said are the best at doing gradients. So you should see some good ones coming soon.

I got a Cherry Culture haul the other day and when I got everything I wasn't too happy with all of it. I really don't like how sometimes they have swatches on some of the polishes and sometimes they don't. It was a bit frustrating. So I ordered based on how I liked their names.

Anyways. Here's NYX Paradise. A beautful tealish/gold duochrome I am going to call it. This one I was happy with ordering.

This is three coats and you can still see the VNL.

I really despise sheers, but this one came out pretty good. The polish was thin and went on well.

Next up is a polish from Claire's. It's one of those 4-in-one polishes. This is Hawaii.

This is three coats and it did look different with each coat I did. If you look at my ring finger you will see that it is more orange than the rest of my nails. I had to go over that once more because I got a fuzzy stuck in it :)

This is also a couple days after wearing it. The polish is a bit thick and leaves streaks, but that might be because of the colors combining.

That's it for now, ladies. I did order a bunch of Zoyas so that will be up soon. As well as my Illamasqua order from Sephora and maybe the rest of my Cherry Culture order.
