bigRuby Nail Tattoos

I was sent some bigRuby nail tattoos a while back and I was naughty and lost them. But I found them again and I used them to do a 'summery' mani.

I used an old SH Opal for the base and Orly Cherry Bomb topped with Zoya Tanzy for the tips.

Then I added a bigRuby orange star for an accent as well as...

a cute little whale! IDk I thought it was summery!

These were super easy to use and look wonderful! My kinda nail art!

Thanks for looking!

*these items were sent to me in exchange for an honest review

Contest Entry

This is my contest entry for Jamie's "Goodbye Summer" - September Nail Art Contest. The deadline for it is tonight 5:30pm mountain time. I am on central time and I hope I make it.

I used Orly Mint Mojito as the basecoat, Konad Special Poish in red and blue for the butterflies from image plate m36, Icing Marine Blue for the 'french' stamp (it's very hard to see) from Konad image platem37, Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor for the sparkle topcoat, and finally Out the Door Northern Lights topcoat.

This is my first time doing a triple stamp and color 'nad and I think it came out pretty good, not the best, but pretty good.

What do y'all think?

NOTD: Orly Cherry Bomb aka Sunkissed, Taillight (Flowers in a Trellis)

So at Sally's Beauty Supply they were having buy 2 Orly treatments and get a polish for free. So I bought Sec 'n Dry and Magnifique.

Sec 'n Dry penetrates and dries all layers of nail polish quickly. I think it was dry within 2 minutes and touchable dry in about 8 more minutes.
Magnifique contains optical brighteners and UV protection for a quick-drying, luminous French with a durable finish. I thought maybe this would illuminate regular nail polish too. I think it did.

For my free nail polish I wanted a nice orangey, summery polish. So I bought Cherry Bomb. I think they were a little off on the name. I would have thought that it should be called something more like Sunkissed or Taillight. Because of it's orangey glow and gold shimmer.

I love this color! I especially like it because this is one coat!

I decided I wanted to do a Koni since I haven't done one in forever. I need to get back to doing them more because it's not looking too hot.

I used the fence looking image on the bottom left. And ChG Solar Power for the stamp. Then I used my dotting tool and created flowers with a black Rhinestone in the middle on my ring fingers and thumbs. I call it Flowers in a Trellis.

Sally Beauty Supply Store Clearance Haul

I finally made it to my new-to-me Sally's at my new place. And I found almost all of these on clearance. Orly Star Spangled was the only one that wasn't.

(l-r): Orly: Star Spangled, Calypso Breeze, Mint Mojito, Fingerpaints Lilac Love, ChG Pure Elegance, Ghoulish Glow Topcoat

Star Spangled, from the Stars & Stripes Collection

I saw this on Scrangie's blog and I had to get it

Blurred to show the glitta!

Calypso Breeze, from the Tiki Time Collection

Mint Mojito, also from the Tiki Time Collection

Lilac Love
Brooke got this on clearance a while back, too. Have you tried this one yet, girly? I saw Lilac Lagoon that you has used a couple times, I was getting it confused with this one.

Pure Elegance don't this is from any collection.
And...

Ghoulish Glow Glow in the Dark Topcoat

I had to get this for Halloween. I used to have a glow in the dark polish a while back. If I did find it it would be all dried up. And it was so much fun. So I NEEDED this one!

Not too bad, huh? All were $2.99 except for Star Spangled. So make sure to check out those 'out of the way' Sally's or one that you see when you are on the road. You might find something unexpected!
