Today is My Golden Birthday and 2nd Blogoversary! W/a NOTD

Hi all! Today I am turning 27 and it's my 2nd year running this blog! YAY!!

For my birthday I got an HE Washing Machine, YAY! Not really...But for some reason I am really excited about it...My fiance got it for me so I can wash our clothes :(   I think it's kinda sad that I am excited about this, but whatevs.

We are going to Red Robin tonight b/c I have a free burger coupon (if you sign up at the restaurant you get a free burger for your birthday). But I am getting a wrap b/c they are WAY better and the fiance is getting the burger.

On Saturday we are planning on going to The Melting Pot. I am excited about it, I love it! But he's not too excited about it... Oh well, MY DAY=MY PICK!!! We went to Texas de Brazil for his bday and while that place is excellent and you can eat til you explode, I want to go the TMP.

These are Incoco strips in Plum Quartz that I win in a giveaway. I did these last night and they are holding up OK. I used to use these A LOT right when they came out like 4 or 5 years ago. My friend and I would show each other how well we did these at work (Home Depot) and they held up pretty well there.

They changed the formula since I last used these and, of course, I didn't read up on it until I had finished putting these on. Now you can choose a side for each strip, which they didn't have before. And you were not able to stretch these before, which you can now. I also probably could have used 1 strip per nail if I removed the tab and used both sides, oh well. I have a gold one of this too call 24 Karats, maybe I will try it with that one. Or use it for an accent nail.

I will update about the wear time with pics as well.

DIY Minx?

I am really into thinking I can do Minx at home and you can buy them on ebay. I watched a couple of YouTube videos explaining how it's done. Has anyone tried doing this at home yet? Or has seen a good YouTube video or blog that has done this?

Good Hair Blogs?

Have you seen any good hair blogs that deal with natural, heat free hair care like Loepsie's YT Channel? Or just any good hair blogs at all that don't have 'how to do your child's hair'? I can't find any out there....

My Birthday and 1st Blogoversary!

Hi all!
I just wanted to say that a year ago today I was in Chi-town at a lame class so I decided to start a blog. But what to blog about?

I decided to keep everyone informed on beauty giveaways and contests because I myself had entered a ton of them and, c'mon, who doesn't love free stuff!

Now, a year later, I have posted about the above + NOTD's and a couple of reviews. I'm not a strong writer and don't really love doing it but it's something nice to do in my free time.

I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all my readers, even though there aren't many comments to be made on most of my posts, I'm glad to see that you ladies follow and subscribe, so THANK YOU!!!!

Anyways in the coming year I plan to have at least one giveaway that I put on myself (no sponsors).

On to me~
That one year ago, when I was sitting in that class, was also my birthday and it is again (duh) today! I will post my birthday mani sometime down the road (hopefully this week) and I have a camera full of NOTD's and a couple comparisons.

For my birthday, the bf is taking me to the Melting Pot, my suggestion. Let's see if he can hang out with me for three hours in another place besides our house. He also got me Lego Indiana Jones 2, which I played for 2 days and didn't really like it (the extra 'scenes' from the older movies were pretty much like the first one). So I made him return it (I know, so evil) but they wouldn't take it back for full price after having it for 3 days. So he is going to see if he can work something out with a buddy. I asked him to use that money to get me an appointment at a nice salon to get my hair cut (it's been about a year and it's starting to show, badly).

Another thing that is kinda a birthday present is a puppy! We just got approved by the Illinois Alaskan Malamute Rescue Association for one of Sahara's male puppies! They are Malamute/German Shepard mix. There's Amarok, Faoil, Vato, Ike, Lafayette, and Tova. My favorite is Amarok. What's yours? We have to get a male, because with girl malamutes remember getting in fights whereas boys will forget. (typical!) And we have Bella already, so a male/female combination was what they would approve for us.

OK, enough talk, back to work!

Birthday!!

Today is my 25th birthday and I just can't believe it! It hasn't hit me yet because I am not even at home, I'm in the city and I won't see my boyfriend or family until tomorrow. I am in a class for work, but I guess it is kinda cool that I am in Chi-town. I'm gonna hit the city when I get out, which means I will just walk around and check out Macy's. I'm really looking for a big, like XL, hobo black purse. Maybe it will be a Birthday Miracle, like the Festivus Miracle!
