Belated Valentine's Day Mani: Drag Marble

This is my first attempted drag marble attempt that I copied from Colette. She is so talented!

I used OPI Make Love as the base and I painted one coat on all fingers (after my basecoat) then did each nail one at a time. I used China Glaze White on White, Maybelline Berry Charming, and the dotting tools I received from the Born Pretty Store. It was very simple to do and probably took me 15 minutes for both hands. Some of these turned out really cool and I think I will be doing these again.

Have you tried a drag marble mani yet?

Don't forget to use the code CONTESTS23 to get 10% off at  the Born Pretty Store!

NYE Blingy Gradient-y Mani!

Happy New Years, everyone! I wish you all a safe and happy new years! I am not going out tonight but I did do my makeup and attempted false lashes, which are so hard for me to accomplish. And the glue got stuck in the tube then sprayed into my hair and one of my favorite shirts....*long breath*

Here's my NYE mani. I was inspired by this mani. Although I didn't use the same colors. I was thinking of using ChG Nova, but I wanted to keep it all silver w/o holo silver.

I used Zoya Trixie for the tips, a Sinful medium sized silver glitter in a clear base and the Sally Girl silver glitter pictured below.
I am really happy with this mani and I love Trixie as a tip color.

Thanks for looking and Happy New Year!

Christmas NOTD with Water Decals

I am finally managing to post a NOTD that I am actually wearing right now! I have been so far behind lately.

Anyway, here's Barielle Elle's Spell. Three coats of jelly and flakey goodness.

Then I added some Christmas water decals that are from the Born Pretty Store.

I like putting the decals facing me than facing away from me. I like looking at them :)

I really like how easy these decal were to apply and that I didn't have to cut them all the way to the image. Most of the ones I've used I've had to cut them very precisely all the way to the image. These I didn't. I also really liked how I could wear these over a dark color and they still showed up.

They are available here for $4.73 and you get 11 sheets!

They are offering 10% off all orders from now until 3/31/2011.  The code is CONTESTS23.  Also, if you register on their website, you will receive a free Christmas nail art sticker.

Thanks for looking! I should have another Christmas mani before Christmas, maybe.

A portion of the items were sent to me in exchange for an honest review.

Really Late Halloween Nails

Well, I'll be cleaning out my camera these next couple of days, so let's start with this year's halloween nails.

This is pretty similar to last year's nails, but no nail art.

I believe I used the colors as last year: 2 coats of Claire's Orange U Glad 2 C Me for the base and tip of accent nail, Lippmann Collection Fade to Black for the tips and base for accent nail, then I went over the tips and accent nail with ChG Spellbound.

Obviously not too original, but I liked it.
Thanks for looking!

New Years Mani

For this silver glitter-tastic mani, I used Zoya Trixie (one coater, people!) as the base color, a coat from the cuticle to half of my nail of ChG Nova, a full coat of Orly (i believe) Shine on Crazy Diamond, then Cover Girl Disco Dazzle (the big round chunky glitter). This looks a little rough, but it really isn't. I topped it off with the Out the Door Silver Holo topcoat.

My nails will be a bling-blingin tonight! Don't have huge plans. Either going to a house party (because everyone is broke) or going to a cousins.

Have a safe and happy NEW YEAR!!!

My REAL Christmas mani

I got this idea from Nora @ Nail of the week's Christmas tree konad. I really love what she did, but unfortunately I did not have that plate. I really thought I did, so I ended up using one the biggest star from the half-circle of stars on m3.

Here's some pic spam:

I will upload some better pics tomorrow morning. EDIT: Here are the pics from this morning:

I started with a base color of ChG Emerald Sparkle and let's see if I can get all of these colors right for the stars:
Zoya Trixie
ChG Solar Power
a Massini Fall purple holo w/no name
OPI Blue Moon Lagoon (for stars and big snowflake on thumb)
Revlon Lily Chrome
ChG Ruby Pumps
SH Radiant
ChG Frostbite
and I think that's it!

Then I topped it off with a shaken Northern Lights holo topcoat.

Hope you like it!

Have a Merry Christmas!!

One Christmas Mani

I wanted a really dark red so I wore Isadora Midnight Red for a day.

I really like this deep creme, but I had a problem with it coming off on paper and it looked like I was drawing with crayons. Does any one else have that problem?
Then I decided I wanted some kind of red sparkle so I added Miliani Spellbinding on the pointer, ChG Ruby Pumps on the middle, and Orly Star Spangled on the ring finger.
This is a different way of getting Spellbinding on with one coat instead of alone with 3 or 4 coats.

Then I reversed it. I added Ruby Pumps and Star Spangled to half of my pointer nail and added Spellbinding on top of the middle and finger nails.

On my thumb I have Spellbinding and I added Ruby Pumps as a french. Very subtle.

This was all done, just for fun and so I could see how they looked.
Then it was time for something Christmas-y and I was too lazy to take off my nail polish.
So I added a french tip with OPI Paris Couture for Sure followed underneath that with ChG Emerald Sparkle. On my ring I used PCFS, ES, RP, and Zoya Trixie to make it kinda look like wrapping paper. KINDA!!

I am hoping to do a Christmas Tree mani tonight and I will try to post it as well.
EDIT: I forgot to post that this was a b*tch to remove!!! It stained my nails like crazy! It might be because I kept packin on the layers or that this was an old polish.

Thanks for looking!
