Ulta Bombshell with Konad

Remember way back (when I had $!) I posted about my Ulta Haul? Well here, finally, is the swatch of that Ulta polish I got called Bombshell. It's a chunky red holo! I believe this is 3 coats.

Along with this red I saw the pink one, Diva, at my Ulta but there are a bunch more. You can buy them here. Did any of you ladies pick up any of these?

Recent Hauls

I thought I would share my recent hauls from Ulta and Walgreens with you.

Ulta has a great clearance going on. In store and on their site. I picked up these nail prep pads (they say $1.29 but they were really $.49! SCORE!), this glittery toe nail clipper for $.49, Orly Pixie Dust (not on sale, but I couldn't find it anywhere) and finally that's RBL Scrangie snuck in there.

I tried the nail prep pads before my NYE mani and they worked out pretty well. The smell wasn't strong and I will let you know if the staying power is better than w/o prepping.

This is a holo red from the Ulta brand. $5.oo but worth it. There was also a pink one called Diva. They can be found here, they are buy 2 get 2 free BTW.

Beautiful! I will swatch it soon.

These next ones I got from Walgreens.

The Borghese Allegra set I got for $4.99 because the cashier thought it was a seasonal thing, which I think it might be. New Rimmel London Lasting Pro polishes (I will plug the names in later I can't find them online), the elusive Opulent Cloud finally came around my area, and new SH Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue.

I am so shocked that a new line is actually available by me around the same time everyone else!

First Ulta Clearance Haul (and many more to come)

I finally have my internet up and running at home so there will be a NOTD in here and another one coming.

I headed to my new (to me) Ulta store (since I just moved) and checked out their clearance section and here is what I snagged:


(l-r) OPI TopCoat, Shorts Story, Rimmel Play Fast in Pop Quiz, Push It, Night Life, and Night Before.

I got OPI TopCoat and Shorts Story with Free Pink Shimmer Wristlet originally $9.95 now $4.95 and All Rimmel Play Fast were originally $3.69 now $.99!!

I highly recommend you head over to your nearest Ulta store and have a look-see. I'm heading to another one today ;) Shhh...don't tell the bf!

And I used Rimmel in Push It as a base (2 coats) and Pop Quiz for the tips in the pic below.

I really need to get my cuticles in better shape :( They look really bad in this pic *please ignore*

I am not sure if this is an old formula and bottle because even though they are 'Play Fast' they seemed to take FOREVER to dry. Even when they did they still had a little 'push' to them. I mean that if I touched my nail at the tip the polish would clump together (like it was dry) but move back over the nail- if that makes sense :)

I also couldn't find these online on rimmel's site, which makes me think they are old as well.

Anyone know?

For the m65 Konad: Ulta brand np Totally Hot

This was extra hard to do b/c the stamper for Konad is RED!!! I didn't think about that going into it!

My first attempt I used Isadora Summer Red, but it was too runny. Then after I finished this horrid thing I topped it with Nail Tek II topcoat and it SMEARED

*sobs to herself AND hangs head in shame*

I'm afraid to ask what you think...but I will anyways

And any advice with Konading?
