ChG Ingrid and Classic Camel: Harry Potter Mani

The only 2 polishes I picked up from ChG Vintage Vixen collex were Ingrid and Classic Camel. Nothing else really appealed to me. I really wanted Classic Camel after I saw swatches and Ingrid was my second choice.

After applying this I was really disappointed on how this made my skin look, it just wasn't for me. So a day later, I jazzed it up a bit by 'frenching' Ingrid on all my fingers except for the accent nail, then I 'frenched' Classic Camel over Ingrid on the accent nail.

Then a day later my fiance was going to take me to see the new Harry Potter movie! So I added some Konad stars randomly and a coat of NYC 105A Silver Glitter. This is a really pretty glitter with small silver glitter and larger blue and glitter pieces. I was loving this!

Loved the new HP movie and can't wait for the next one! And I LOVE the mani!!

Sonia Kashuk Lend a Hand Nail Trio

A while back I picked up the Sonia Kashuk Lend a Hand Nail Trio at Target on clearance.

Sorry for the horrid pic.

It consists of a frosty metallic pink, a taupey purple, and a dark brown.

Here's the look I came up with. I don't remember which Konad plate I used.

I really like how this came out and I will definitely be using that pink polish for stamping again!

My REAL Christmas mani

I got this idea from Nora @ Nail of the week's Christmas tree konad. I really love what she did, but unfortunately I did not have that plate. I really thought I did, so I ended up using one the biggest star from the half-circle of stars on m3.

I started with a base color of ChG Emerald Sparkle and let's see if I can get all of these colors right for the stars:
Zoya Trixie
ChG Solar Power
a Massini Fall purple holo w/no name
OPI Blue Moon Lagoon (for stars and big snowflake on thumb)
Revlon Lily Chrome
ChG Ruby Pumps
SH Radiant
ChG Frostbite
and I think that's it!

Then I topped it off with a shaken Northern Lights holo topcoat.

Old Del Sol Polishes Tested for 'nadding

First here's my setup for 'nadding. I did this one night where my bf was putting in can lights and I couldn't watch TV while doing my nails.


This is what I won from polish-lounge.com from answering her reading quiz correctly. This was my first non-nad plate!
I decided to test the del sol nail polish that I got from my mom's closet, Medusa. I tested it over Jessica Silk (see a true color swatch here). So I got out the new plate from polish-lounge and went to work.

Thumb and ring finger has Pure Ice Outrageous (I would use this again for 'nadding), pointer has Pure Ice New Lilac (not the greatest for 'nadding) and pinky has Del Sol Medusa (also not a good one for 'nadding). Middle finger has nothing. As you can see I am not that great at lining up the image :)

This is the same as the picture above.

I don't know if anyone else has used Del Sol polishes for Konad, but I wouldn't recommend them. This could also be a problem because mine as so old, too.

This is my contest entry for Jamie's "Goodbye Summer" - September Nail Art Contest. The deadline for it is tonight 5:30pm mountain time. I am on central time and I hope I make it.


I used Orly Mint Mojito as the basecoat, Konad Special Poish in red and blue for the butterflies from image plate m36, Icing Marine Blue for the 'french' stamp (it's very hard to see) from Konad image platem37, Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor for the sparkle topcoat, and finally Out the Door Northern Lights topcoat.




This is my first time doing a triple stamp and color 'nad and I think it came out pretty good, not the best, but pretty good.

A Work-Friendly 'Nad and **Warning Toes**

I was going for a sheer look today because my nails were behaving very well lately so I thought I would reward them a bit by showing off with a sheer. Well, Misa No Shrinking Violetta didn't turn out that sheer.
Then I decided to do a 'nad with this little Konad special nail polish that I bought with my first 'nad order. I really don't think this is a real Konad polish and I had no idea when I got it because I never knew what the bottles looked like. I don't even remember where I got it from.

So I used this 'Konad special polish' in pink (I guess I will call it that since there is no name on it) with plate m69 and the image all the way on the left. Despite this really not being sheer or the special polish being real, I really like the way this turned out. I don't really have a strict office where I have to watch what color nail polish I wear (heck! I wear jeans and a polo to work!), but for those who can't I think this is a nice option for them.

Don't say I didn't warn you! :)

I wanted to use ChG Frostbite on my toes, badly, b/c it is soo beautiful! I just can't keep it from chipping on my fingers, so toes is the next option. Then I wanted to 'nad it too. I used SH Insta-Dri Whirlwind White because I heard it was pretty good for 'nadding and I like how it turned out. I used m25 and threw a couple rhinestones on there and it was all goood :)

Would you rock either of these to work or for fun?
